This works with all 996 models - aside from the Targa, which uses the 3-button key head off the facelift (post 2000) 986 Boxster. Similarly, this key head is for the pre-facelift Boxsters. How do you know if your Boxster is pre-facelift - just look at your key. If it has two buttons like this one,  this is the key for you.
