 The Porsche 917 is often referred to as 'the best race car ever". Its universally revered as one of the most successful racing cars of all time, and its certainly the most famous ever built by Porsche - which given the companies history is saying a lot.

Debuted in 1969, powered by a Mezger designed 4.5 litre Flat-12, the 917 was capable of well over 350km/hr (as reported by some white-knuckled drivers) and gave Porsche it`s first outright Le Mans 24 hours win.
